Here at Walker Technology Solutions, we have several iSeries and AS/400 servers, and we’re well-versed in the recovery process for multiple versions of OS/400. In fact, we regularly provide contract resource and expertise to other customers who use some of the larger and more expensive Disaster Recovery service companies.

What facilities can we provide to you?

 

Our services are aimed at the medium and smaller i5, iSeries and AS/400 user, and are tailored to suit these specific needs and the smaller budget. We can recover your server at our offices near Edinburgh, providing you fit the following profile :

 

 

With your core business systems rebuilt and recovered on one of our servers here, we can link back to your main site offices network via ISDN or dual PSTN – this allows you to use your normal network printers, and LAN PCs etc. just as if your original server was still on-line at your site.

 

Furthermore, we can also provide limited office-space (four to six desks, each with a networked PC running Windows XP™, MS Office 2002™, firewalled internet access via ADSL, together with local fax, copy and print services for a small office)

How does the service work, and what’s included?

 

For new customers, we offer an initial compatibility audit and recovery trial, and although the trial component is a chargeable service, a percentage of  the cost of the trial is deducted from the first year cost of your contract. This allows us to establish any weak areas in your current recovery strategy and procedures, and draw up revised documentation and recommendations, all of which are available to you when you take out your initial contract.
